Global Village of Beijing Environmental Education Center (GVB) is a non-profit, non-government organization dedicated to realizing and spreading ecological society. Since its founding in 1996, GVB has advocated greener lifestyles through construction of green urban communities, cultivation of green rural communities, advancing of sustainable urban-rural models for greener living, and promotion of environmental media through film production, seminars and other activities.
GVB is also a Chinese grassroots portal of UNEP, with the majority of our programs directly interacting with our thousands of volunteers and tens of thousands of participating citizens.
GVB has established an influential network of Chinese partners and NGOs using media forums, consultations and multimedia publication to promote communication and exchange. Thanks to GVB, national and international partners from public, private, academic and media sectors are able to advance sustainable development in China.
