Global Village of Beijing Environmental Education Center

Promoting Ecological Civilization, Realizing a Life of Harmony.

Founded in 1996 as one of the first NGOs in China, Global Village of Beijing (GVB) Environmental Education Center is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to environmental education and public participation. GVB promotes China’s sustainable development and urges Chinese citizens to change their daily habits in order to help combat environmental degradation in China and worldwide. GVB is also a Chinese grassroots portal of UNEP, with the majority of our programs directly interacting with our thousands of volunteers and tens of thousands of participating citizens.

GVB has established an influential network of Chinese partners and NGOs using media forums, consultations and multimedia publication to promote communication and exchange. Thanks to GVB, national and international partners from the public, private, academic and media sectors are able to advance sustainable development in China.
